Welcome to the Secret War!
The Secret War Society is the unofficial home of Shadowfist tournaments and fan-designed cards!
Secret War Society is a group of long-time Shadowfist players, organizers, designers, playtesters, and fans of the game. We love all things Shadowfist, and want to produce new material for the game that honours its long history. It is our goal to continue to release top-quality, playtested, balanced cards that fans of Shadowfist can choose to use.
We are a fan-driven community, that includes the input of players and fans in our sets. We believe in open, honest, and consistent communication with the players and fans of the game. We believe in playtesting cards thoroughly, and ensuring that they are well thought out and balanced. To this end, we will continue to solicit input from fans about the direction of the game, design new fan-made cards, playtest them as widely as possible, and eventually release them as print-and-play proxies. Secret War Society will never sell anything, and everything we create will be free. You can find the cards we have released on the card lists page.
Shadowfist has a long-running internal story, and it is our goal to continue that story from Year of the Goat onwards. Because of this, our primary focus will be on the Modern format, with a goal of growing and balancing the exising Modern cardpool. Our attention, then, will be on the Ascended, Dragon, Eaters of the Lotus, Four Monarchs, Guiding Hand, and Jammers. However, we realize that many players of the game enjoy playing with cards from the “dead” factions. We plan on supporting the Architects, Purists, Syndicate, and to a lesser extent, Seven Masters.
We offer a global scoring system that mimics the one that was discontinued by Inner Kingdom Games! In particular, we support ongoing Lackey League Proving Grounds! Find out about this on the tournament page.
In order to limit spam bots, to sign up for the Secret War Society, you will need the pass phrase! You can get this from anyone in the Shadowfist Lackey group on Facebook or on Discord. Don't hesitate to ask!
